Stamford, CT – August 14, 2014 – This summer the Alive at Five Outdoor Concert Series continued in Stamford, CT featuring record breaking crowds and multi platinum artists such as KC and the Sunshine Band, Barenaked Ladies, Smashmouth, Sugar Ray, Blues Traveler, Jake Miller, Ed Kowalczyk and the legendary Beach Boys.
New to the Alive at Five concert lineup is the music of the Kunjan Collective DJ/talent roster. Kunjan Collective assembled some of the areas hottest DJs to entertain the Alive at Five crowd during this summer’s 6-week concert festival. In an exclusive agreement with the DSSD, Kunjan Collective opened and closed performances each week to rave reviews and thousands of satisfied festival party goers.
As they did in 2010, the members of the Beach Boys wraped up the Alive at Five downtown music series which has brought thousands of music lovers to Columbus Park and downtown Stamford every Thursday night since July 10. The Rock n Roll hall of famers whose hits stretch back to the 1960s, performed to an estimated crowd of 10,000 fans after DJ MFUSCO and MC JHype opened the show, for the Philadelphia-based indie band Conversations, with a steady blend of classics, Top 40 and old school hip hop dance staples followed by a 30 minute high energy set that got the capacity crowd rocking and ready for the amazing Beach Boys.
“This was an unbelievable night,” said MFUSCO. “Thanks to Kunjan Collective, I got to spin in front of 10,000 people with my man JHype and open for the Beach Boys – not a bad way to spend a summer night,” said MFUSCO.
In addition to performing on the main stage, MFUSCO along with DJ Chopps performed at NBCUniversal’s Stamford Media Center Alive at Five pre-party and at the hottest Alive at Five after party at Patrizias in Columbus Park.
MFUSCO is an Open Format/House/Latin DJ who has performed at various NYC venues such as Avenue, Highline Ballroom, Tenjune, Le Souk, Pacha, Bounce Sporting Club, Sky Room Times Square, Empire Hotel Rooftop, XVI Lounge
Notable appearances include appearances at Indayo Group’s VIP Room NYE 2014, Slate’s 2014 Super Bowl Viewing Party, the Halloween Beach Tour Aruba 2013, Joonbug’s Santos Party House NYE 2013 Party, DROM nightclub’s Summer Kick-Off in the East Village, Joonbug’s ESPACE NYC Halloween Party, Stamford’s Alive at Five Concert Parties and international appearances in Colombia, Costa Rica and the Bahamas. MFUSCO has also held weekly and monthly residencies at venues in Connecticut and New York.
This past year, MFUSCO was named audience warm-up DJ for NBCUniversal’s hit talk show “Maury”, GSN’s “The Newlywed Game” and appeared as a guest DJ on the Style Network’s “Jerseylicious.” He also served as a guest DJ on BET’s “106 and Park” and hosted his own weekly radio mix show, airing on WBCR AM 1090.
